FAST FASHION ALERT!
According to WRAP research fashion industry is now the second largest generator of pollution on Earth after oil, with 500,000 tonnes of used clothing going to landfill in 2020 in the UK alone.
Even the greenest garment uses resources for production and transport to your home, creating some environmental impact. A root of the problem lies in our excessive consumerism: we constantly buy new clothes because of our desire to be versatile and express who we are throgh what we wear: from an early business meeting to a glamorous cocktail event in the evening.
Russkys introduces an innovative slow fashion concept: sustainable reusability of basic items and add-ons is in the brand’s DNA. Russkys helps to address the global problem of excessive waste created by fast fashion. One basic item can be turned into 100 looks by combining it with different add-ons and charms.
Russkys loves nature and animals. As such, we use feathers that fell off naturally and were ethically collected to create trimmings. Also we use fur, feather and leather substitute innovative materials in any of our products!
